In one of the most audacious jewelry heists in U.S. history, a group of thieves stole over $100 million worth of gems and luxury watches from a Brink’s semitruck in Southern California — all within minutes, without firing a shot or causing injury.
The crew made off with 24 bags containing Rolex watches, emerald rings, diamond earrings, gold chains, and even a rare lavender jade stone the size of a cicada. For nearly three years, the case remained unsolved, baffling investigators.
That changed on June 17, when federal authorities announced charges against seven suspects linked to the July 2022 robbery, marking a major breakthrough in the investigation.
