SAN ANTONIO, TX — June 15, 2025 — The San Antonio community is in mourning following a deadly flash flooding event that claimed 13 lives over the weekend. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identities of 12 victims, with one individual still awaiting identification.
The unprecedented flooding swept through several neighborhoods late Saturday night, overwhelming drainage systems and leaving widespread destruction in its wake. Emergency crews worked through the night to rescue stranded residents and recover those lost.
Local officials have described the disaster as one of the most catastrophic natural events to hit the region in recent years. Dozens remain displaced, and cleanup efforts are ongoing as the city rallies together in support of the victims' families.
Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious as more rainfall is expected in the coming days.
