Outdated Warnings on Estrogen May Be Harming Millions of Women, Experts Say

 Millions of women are being left in the dark — and in pain — because menopause care is still stuck in the past. Despite decades of research, many doctors receive little to no training on menopause treatment, and persistent myths about estrogen therapy are leaving women with delayed or incorrect care. Last week, a panel of leading doctors and researchers urged the FDA to update outdated warnings on estrogen-based topical treatments, arguing that current labels — which cite risks like breast cancer and dementia — are not supported by the latest science. As the FDA delays action, women continue to suffer needlessly.
